As both Sunny and Marsial pointed out in comments, you certainly can crave foods that you have an intolerance to. The difference with me was that I had no symptoms eating bread or sugar. I just thought that since I wanted it that wanting meant allergy. The disconnect was the no symptoms.
But isn’t that so counter-intuitive … wouldn’t you think that our bodies would reject (like my mom’s does) anything that we have the slightest intolerance to? I guess it’s similar to a mosquito bite, though. You have an urge to scratch it because it itches, but scratching it actually makes it itch more.
I’m back in the 180′s again, bouncing around between 188 and 189 which makes me very happy. So, so far so good, with the fruits. I’m still keeping my bread at one oroweat thin a day, although I have a delicious stew cooking in the crockpot and it is absolutely calling for beer batter bread, so I may use some extra points on that.
SF really is making me think about what I eat which is exactly what I needed … to weigh in my mind what I’m willing to spend my precious few points on and what I’m not.
I have two trips scheduled the end of February, first week in March. I’m going to Disney World again for the half-marathon with all the daughters and daughter-in-laws, and then Mac and I are going to St. Thomas for a week for some sunshine. It’s only 5 weeks away, so I’m not committing to any weight loss numbers, but it sure would be nice to lose at last 5 pounds. I’ll do everything I can to make it happen with exercise and eating.
